Rashi guide

The twelve rashis

A rashi is a thirty-degree slice of the sidereal zodiac, each ruled by a graha and holding two and a quarter nakshatras. Your rashi is the one the Moon occupied when you were born.

Don’t know your rashi?

It can’t be worked out from your birth date — the Moon changes sign roughly every 2¼ days, so it needs your birth time and place. The western sun sign you may already know is a different thing entirely.

Find my rashi

Right now the Moon is in Kark at 22°25', in Ashlesha pada 2 — so a baby born at this moment has Kark as their rashi.
